SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

As the Social Media Manager, you will be a key team member, tasked with managing the social media presence of Humo, MOTA Glass & Latinas in Cannabis and their channels.

You represent the values and ethics of NightShift Cannabis to the audiences with which you interact. Your tone, the quality and efficiency of your social media copy, emails, your responsiveness and timely replies, your availability and your obsessiveness with exceeding expectations all have an effect on NightShift Cannabis’ external reputation.

ABOUT YOU

You are passionate about finding and connecting Latinos in cannabis, building and launching campaigns, and are generally aware of trends in cannabis + Latino culture. The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in social media and project management to help strengthen the digital presence of NightShift Cannabis brands. You are a natural leader and community builder, have excellent communication skills, and are driven to learn new platforms and skills. You work well with an extended team in a virtual work environment, are able to manage your tasks and time, but also know when to ask for help and guidance. You’re creative, self-motivated, and excited to join a small but hands-on team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support and execute the social strategy for NightShift Cannabis portfolio brands across platforms including Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and Twitter

  • Write and edit copy for social media and website content 

  • Manage production, follow through and execution of social media and website assets and create content as necessary including but not limited to graphic design, photography and video 

  • Bring new and big ideas to the table with a digital/social first mindset, as well as collaboratively build on others’ concepts to increase engagement and build passion for portfolio brands

  • Organize social editorial calendar, aligning key stakeholders including regional teams to ensure they are on board with plans and are executing initiatives on strategy

  • Collaborate on social media reporting, insights, and delivery through the use of analytics tools

  • Define and update social best practices and organize account operations

  • Utilize learnings to inform and support the creative approach, as well as drive KPIs across platforms and campaigns

  • Build relationships with platform, digital and external brand partners, developing and executing co-branded initiatives

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years experience in social media at an agency or on the client-side as a Social Media Manager or Digital Marketer within the Cannabis industry 

  • Experience collaborating within a organization, driving creative work with multiple internal departments and 3rd party agencies/ partners

  • Experience using Excel, Canva, Photoshop, LightRoom and Slack 

  • Passion for all things cannabis, digital and social -- up to date on the latest platforms and technologies and desire to identify opportunities for strategic brand involvement

  • Understanding of brand social strategy and ability to develop marketing briefs that inspire cutting edge creative work

  • Fluency in both the creative and analytical sides of digital marketing with working knowledge of social platforms and native platform analytics tools

  • Self-starter mentality and track-record for clever social ideas and desire to identify opportunities for strategic brand involvement

  • Ability to effectively interact with internal/external stakeholders and all levels of management with exceptional skills in preparing and presenting materials across varying audiences

  • A healthy understanding of the Humo, MOTA Glass and Latinas in Cannabis brands and their products and offerings 

  • Experience in providing creative feedback for social content that is based on a solid understanding of social brand strategy.

  • Extremely organized, diligent, detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, as well as verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to craft a narrative.

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or related field
